Art has been utilized for over 50 years as therapy to fight depression. Depression can be completely debilitating. Even the easiest tasks become draining an it can be impossible to even start the task. So how does art help? The creative process involved in expressing one’s self artistically can help people to resolve issues as well as develop and manage their behaviors and feelings, reduce stress, and improve self-esteem and awareness.
